Classroom Connections

       Mr. Paul Kelsey was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma.  His father is retired from the military, so he has lived in many places like Germany, Maryland, Texas, Kansas, and Oklahoma.   He is proud to call Pleasant Grove, Alabama his home.    

      This is Mr. Kelsey’s tenth year as a teacher.  He has a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  He is currently a candidate for National Board certification.  (http://www.nbpts.org) This is a high honor for teachers.  He will find out the results in December. 

       Mr. Kelsey is married to the former Kim Courington.  They have two children:  Addison (4) and Levi (2).  A third child (Lila) will make her appearance in October.    

      Mr. Kelsey is an active member of Sylvan Springs Church of Christ.  He teaches a young adult class on Sunday mornings, coordinates the Lads to Leaders program, leads singing, and works with the youth.
