I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  We all needed a good break.

Please remember these three things:

1) Field trip money is due by Tuesday.

2) Progress reports need to be returned by Tuesday.

3) There is a Math test on Tuesday.

Wow, this year has been flying by! Can you believe it?

This will be a short week, but we will be busy! I don’t have any tests planned for this week besides the weekly spelling test. There is still homework this week: one math drill Check your child’s agenda tomorrow!

We will go to the Book Fair tomorrow at 1:45. Be sure to send money with your child.

Literacy Night is tomorrow night. Feel free to stop by Mrs. Presley’s room tomorrow night to learn about fourth grade Reading. All teachers will be there, except me. I will be conducting a break out session on helpful internet resources. Feel free to stop by!

Last but not least, I’d like to share my news on my National Board status. I received my scores Friday morning and found out that I’m now a second year candidate. Only 40% of teachers complete the program the first year. So what does this mean?

I will be completing some extensive lessons with your children. This will take place during Science and I hope to get started in December. Permission forms will be sent home before any work is started. I hope that you will allow your child to participate. This is so important to me!

I will also be working on some more “teaching accomplishments” during the school year. You may have remember “Family Involvement Night” last year. I played an active role with that last year with Mrs. Presley. I’m sure that I will help plan some new events for my documentation.
