I’d like to thank everyone who helped with a party yesterday! I’d like to especially thank our room mother for her coordination of everything. She did much more than I expected. Thank you so much!
Look for report cards after we return.
School resumes January 7th. I look forward to seeing everyone return.
Thanks to all for the presents yesterday. You are too kind!
Merry Christmas and Happy 2008!

*Tomorrow, your child has a verbs quiz and quiz over Caleb’s Story.
That’s all for now!
I’m not able to make an online test tonight. Sorry! Your child has a study guide to review. Also, use page A26 for more study.
Good luck!
- Whew! What a long day! Our field trip seemed to go well for the most part. I hope the students enjoyed themselves and learned something. In future trips, I’ll need to buckle down on some behavior issues so we can use our time more effeciently.
- It looks like now that our Science test (chapter 1) is on Thursday and our Reading quiz (Caleb’s Story) is on Friday. There are no vocabulary words for this quiz. It will be short and sweet.
- Our class party is December 20th at 1:00 p.m. One tradition I have in my classroom is a book exchange. Each student needs to get a nice holiday-related book. Don’t spend more than $15.00. I found a nice list here:
Most book stores have a good selection sitting out. Let me know if you have any questions.
- I’m a little behind on graded papers and tests. I haven’t recovered since my absence in October! Thanks for your patience.
- “Holiday Fever” has hit our class. We still have some important things to do before grades are finished. I’m counting on my students to listen when I speak, follow my directions quickly and quietly, and complete their work. Rumor has it Mr. Jacks knows Santa’s phone number!
- Have a great week!
We had another great Monday. I wish we could do this good all week long!
Tomorrow is a math quiz on multiplication facts 0-5. Use this game for more study!
